LEMP-POULIN Alishia — avis de deces

LEMP-POULIN, Alishia

Alishia suddenly was taken away from her earthly home on February 28, 2020. Alishia will always be remembered by her loving mother Dori Poulin; brother Lucas; sisters Lisa, Hope, and Charity; as well as her nieces & nephews. We are making a special mention of Naomi and Destiny (Dylan), her nieces, who have contributed their time towards Alishia`s celebration of life. Alishia`s aunts & uncles, cousins, extended and family members included Uncle Lyle (where Alishia would sometimes rent a room during her visits back in Kelowna) and Bonnie Mooney (referred to as “Aunty” by Alishia). She was predeceased by her father Jerry Joseph Poulin, who passed away in 1999.
Alishia was extroverted & adventurous. She was quick to join in whenever we went skydiving, ziplining, or planned a birthday party. She was ready to make the phone calls & host the party.
Alishia loved to travel, especially with her beloved yorkie “Soup”. Her home base was Kelowna, British Columbia. Alishia’s goal to be a missionary worked out as the saying goes “If you can be a missionary in your own community, then you can be a missionary anywhere”.
Alishia met Don McPhee and lived in Victoria, British Columbia as well as London, Ontario on & off to be near her sister Hope over the last three years. Alishia sacrificed leaving Soup with Hope for companionship reasons in London. Within that time, Hope certified Soup as her Service Dog.
Alishia spent months in Las Vegas. She visited Orlando Florida, Puerta Vallarta in Mexico, Disney Land in California, and many places across Canada.
She offered open arms and huge welcoming smiles when a family member would come home. For distant friends or neighbours who moved away (or when we moved) Alishia would facetime or make phone calls weekly or monthly to let them know they will not be left out of the circle of our lives.
Alishia loved school and had a huge circle of friends, she was a social butterfly, who loved dancing, drama, and fine Arts. The Arts allowed her to reflect her unique fashion of bright colors, leopard and animal prints on her high heel shoes, handbags, clothes, a large collection of belts, and love for huge jewelry.
Academically talented as a student, she skipped grade curriculum by two years. Alishia graduated grade 12 in Kelowna, BC. She was employed with a variety of jobs from secretarial, multitasking on construction jobsites, working in hydroponics in sales and grafting plants, and working as a bartender or server for the Kings Stadium and BC Place for the Whitecaps and BC Lions.
Wherever Alishia could find work, she made it a fun place to be employed.
Alishia would hope that all readers and loved ones remember to sing, dance, love one another, live your life to the fullest, and accept the Lord.
The original plans for Alishia’s Celebration Life for April 14, 2020 are canceled due to the covid-19 laws. In its stead, a group of ten family members met at the Peachland Cemetery on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Plans for a Celebration Life will be arranged as soon as is it appropriate again.
