Larry’s Obituary
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Larry on May 6, 2020. He was in his 84th year. Loving husband of Carolyn (Rosebrugh) for more than 61 years. Cherished father of Cheryl Krug-Wiltse (PJ) and devoted grandfather of Patrick and Kate. He is predeceased by his parents Walter and Margaret, his brothers Jack and Bob, and nephew Greg. Forever remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Known for his kindness and good humour, Larry loved deeply and enjoyed his friends and family. He was a positive influence on all that knew him. He treated people with respect and always saw the best in those around him. Larry believed in giving back to his community and was a volunteer for various organizations throughout the years. He often spoke of how much he enjoyed his life, and of how fortunate he was to have had a job that never felt like work to him. The 28 years he worked at Calbeck’s, and the friends he made along the way, were of great importance to him. He loved fishing and had many great stories about his various adventures and the friends that were with him. He loved cars and enjoyed a good car show. He was a proud member of the Piston Pushers during his early years. Larry also enjoyed woodworking and furniture refinishing, and he never missed a chance to happily mow his lawn, even after he moved. He will be deeply missed by all.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home. Following Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A date and place for a Celebration of Life will be announced as soon as the restrictions imposed due the COVID-19 are lifted. In Larry’s memory, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca/) would be appreciated by the family.
