Obituary of Ken Christink
CHRISTINK, Kenneth – It is with much sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear father Kenneth (Ken/Kenny) “el Presidente” Norman Christink on Sunday February 9,2020, a month shy of his 79th birthday.
He has been reunited after 17 years with his love, the late Angela (Angie) Christink, his parents Eulalie (Lollie) and Orville, and his brother Gerald (Burr). He is survived by his children Jeff, Renee (Kelly Turcotte), Penny (Peter Raabe), and Kendra Christink. Cherished Poppa to Jessica, Cole, Ryan, Baylee and Avery “his peach”. Older brother to Constance (Gerald Bergeron) and Wayne (Charlotte). Best buddy to cousin Steven (Muff) “el Captaino”. He will be missed by many family and friends. Born and raised in Pembroke, Dad played Jr A hockey for the Kings, golfed, curled and played ball. Ken worked at AECL/CNL for 30+ years as a nuclear operator. A formidable card player and a member of the Legion Christink Aces, nothing made Kenny happier than taking a few bucks off his family.
As per his wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday February 14th, 2020 at 1:00pm. We invite family and friends to attend a gathering at the Pembroke Legion beginning at 2:00pm to join us in a celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mackay Manor, Renfrew or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 72 Pembroke would be appreciated. Online condolences and donations are available at www.mdbfuneralhome.com.
