Mom left Craik and travelled to Winnipeg, MB to find work. There she met Ken, her husband of 61 years, and they married April 14, 1951. Mae, Roberta and Joan were born in Winnipeg. After leaving Winnipeg they moved to Regina where Kenny, Diane and Tim were born. Christopher joined our family in 1972 and was officially adopted November 9, 1987.
Mom worked as a waitress and sales clerk, and then helped Dad run the delivery service business he started. She also bred and sold Chihuahuas, as well as participated in numerous dog shows. She enjoyed playing crib, canasta and bingo; going to Smitty’s Restaurant and visits with family. She was known for her red lipstick and nail polish.
For the last 3 years mom resided at Noonan Villa in Regina where she enjoyed the company of the other residents and was fond of the care workers. She especially enjoyed her time with Nicole who was so very kind and caring.
