It is with regret and sorrow that I announce the sudden passing of my wife of 30 years, Karrie Burke. Daughter to Jim and Marge Fawcett (predeceased) and sister of Jim (Judy) and Tim Fawcett. Special daughter in law to Glorianne and Willard Burke. Karrie was beloved aunt to Alexandra (Billy), Taylor (Anna), Brooklyn, Jessaka, Katelyn, Matthieu, Abigail, Abigael, and Emma. A member of the Greater Sudbury Police Service for 30 years, Karrie retired last year to live on the farm with me and our dog, Tiny. Karrie will be fondly remembered for her creativity, integrity, and easygoing nature. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Karrie Burke Bursary. Family and friends are welcome to join me on Tuesday August 11th, 2020 from 1-3pm at Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street. (Due to COVID-19 pandemic directives, 50 people or fewer are permitted in the visitation room, and face masks are mandatory.) Additionally, I will be at the Police Association Hall, 195 Applegrove Street between 4-8pm to receive members of the police service, (with words of remembrance at 7pm).
