It is with great sadness that the family of Karl Heinz Trumper announces his passing in his 91st year at St. Peters Palliative Care, Hamilton, Ontario surrounded by his wife of 63 years Elfriede Trumper and his two daughters Anita Hurst and Ingrid Renaud. He will be sadly missed by his son in law Aaron Hurst and his beloved sunshine Karle Renaud. He will be fondly remembered by friends and neighbours. Karl immigrated from Germany in 1952 and settled in Saskatoon. Years later he and his family moved to Ontario where he became a teaching Master of Mechanical Engineering for 26 years at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. He belonged to the Probus Club both in London and Grimsby. He adored his family and their travels and times together. His love of his family, animals, nature, music, dancing with his wife and ice cream brought him great joy. He will be sadly missed by his brother in law and sister in law Otto and Ursel Rudolph many nieces, nephews and cousins in Germany and the U.S. We wish to thank the nurses and doctors at both West Lincoln Hospital and St. Peter’s Palliative care, for their care of Karl. We send out a special acknowledgment to Jacqueline Veenendaal at West Lincoln Hospital. She was our earth angel who helped keep us connected to Karl via video chat and went the extra mile when we couldn’t be with him. What a true blessing she was to Karl and our family. Cremation and a private service will take place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation (www.wlmhfoundation.ca) or the Alzheimer Society of Canada (www.alzheimer.ca) would be appreciated.
