September 7, 1937 – August 16,2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of June Sulina, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
June was born on September 7, 1937 in England on the Isle of Wight. She and her two brothers enjoyed many adventures growing up in this quaint community. Her family moved to Canada and she finished her schooling in Chilliwack. June married the love of her life, Jerry Anthony Sulina on November 22, 1962. The Justice of the Peace that wed them was late as he was watching the Grey Cup! They raised their only son in Maple Ridge BC along with many dogs and horses.
June had a passion for dogs and flowers. She loved all dogs unconditionally and loved the simple beauty of flowers. June didn’t have the want for anything grandeur, she just enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She was a doting mother and grandmother.In her later years she enjoyed going to her granddaughter’s dance recitals and her grandson’s hockey games. Jayda and Jerry held a special place in her heart.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, her brother Jack and her parents. She is survived by her son Jerry (Carla), and her two grandchildren, Jayda and Jerry. She is also survived by her brother Jim and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a small graveside burial service at Maple Ridge Cemetery on August 24, 2020 at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
