Obituary of Julia Ann Harris
Harris, Julia “Ann” (nee Hubbard) – Ann Harris died peacefully at the age of 85 with her children at her side, on Saturday, December 26, 2020. Cherished wife and best friend of the late Richard “Dick” (2016). Loving mother of Donna Hollins (Ron), Rick (Carol), Rob (Deborah), Patti Mathieson (Jim) and Frank (Colleen). Proud Grandmother of 21 grandchildren and beloved GG of 17 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Agnes “Honey” Giffels (late Bert), Jeannie McAuley, Patricia Hall (Al), Bunny (Bob Johnston), Gerarda Savoie (Bob) and brother Francis (Pierrette). Much loved “Aunt Annie” of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Mary Hubbard, her siblings Eleanor and husband Hank, Stanley, Donald and wife Joanne, Kathleen and husband Randy, Margaret and husband Joe, Betty and husband Lee, Mary (Darcy), Johnny and Jimmy.
Ann was devoted to her Catholic faith and was a long-time member of Queen of Peace Church. She loved to knit blankets for her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed baking for her family, especially at Christmas.
The family would like to thank the staff of Bluewater Health for their excellent care and compassion during Mom’s short stay with them.
Due to the current COVID 19 restrictions a private family service will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (519-344-3131). Interment at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
