Obituary of Joseph York Pelley
Pelley, Joseph York – age 72 of Sweetland, passed away November 11, 2020 at home with family by his side. Born August 15, 1948 in Halifax, Joseph was a son of the late Jim and Edith (Davis) Pelley. Surviving are his wife, Bettina; daughter, Niesha Pelley (Ryan Feener), Sweetland; son, Joseph Pelley (Kayla Sharkey), Tantallon; sisters, Dot (Russell) MacPherson, Guysborough; Anne (Eddy) Benoit, Antigonish County; brother, John Pelley (Debbie Surrette), New Glasgow; grandchildren, Tyler and Treyson Pelley, J.C. Sharkey and Natalia Pye; step- grandchildren, MacKenzie and Kaydence Feener; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Myrtle Hare; brothers, Charlie Pelley; Leonard in infancy; brother in-law, John Hare and Uncle, Joe Pelley.
Joseph enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also loved family gatherings and spending time at home.
