Josephine « Josie » Louise Moran
Josephine L. Moran, 83, of
Serenacare Inc., passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday,
December 23, 2020.
Born in Saint John, she was the
daughter of the late Frank and Kathleen (Boyle)
McDougall.
Josie was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a member of St.
Bernard’s parish and the St. Augustine’s Catholic
Women’s League (CWL). She played an active role with the
Kidney Foundation of Canada for numerous years. The joy of her life
was family and taking care of them. She enjoyed baking sweets and
feeding people, spending time with her grandchildren and talking to
her sisters and friends.
Josie will be greatly missed by
her daughters, Cathy Moran Robinson of Rothesay, Rose Finbow of
Oshawa, ON and Andrea Creagh (Bill) of Moncton; grandchildren, Laura
Robinson, Emily and Anne Finbow, Thomas (Tricia), Kathleen and Joseph
Creagh; sister, Florence (Florrie) Kennedy; several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her parents, she
was predeceased by her husband, Joe; brother, Raymond McDougall and
sister, Mary McDougall.
A Mass to celebrate and honour
Josie’s life will be held from St. Bernard’s Roman
Catholic Church (Queen and Botsford Streets) on Monday, December 28,
2020 at 10:30 am with Rev. Charles Broderick presiding. Due
to COVID-19 restrictions, seating may be limited at the church and
social distancing guidelines must be followed and masks are
mandatory.
