On Sunday, January 19, 2020 Mr. John Pelkey of Wainwright, Alberta passed away at the Wainwright Health Centre at the age of 96 years. John is survived by his loving family; wife, Winn of Wainwright; children, Steve (Darlene Kindrat) Pelkey of Wainwright, Jeff (Josée Francoeu) Pelkey of Quesnel, British Columbia, Gloria Pelkey Kowalchuk; grandchildren, Christie April, Shawn Moore, Travis Pelkey, Shaylene (Justin) Fetterley, Sherry Hrehorak; great grandchildren, Brooke, Racquelle, Lily, Cody,… Read More » Cash, Seth, Blake, Adelynn, Sawyer; as well as his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Eugene and Edward; sisters, Freda and Marjorie. A funeral service for John will be conducted on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 11:00 AM from the Royal Canadian Legion, Wainwright. If so desired the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the local charity of the donors choice.
