It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of John Joseph Fleming of the Goulds on Tuesday, Dec 15, 2020 after a hard battle with cancer.
Predeceased by his parents Mary and Stan, his sisters Marg, Anne, Josie and Gertie, and his brothers Charlie, Stan, and Jerome.
Leaving to mourn, the love of his life and best friend Judy Melvin, his step-son Tim (Karen) and his two granddaughters Brooklyn and Kennedy whom he loved dearly.
Also leaving to mourn, his brothers Marty (Donna), Tom, and David and his sisters Francie, Madonna, and Theresa, his in-laws, and a large circle of family and friends.
John lived his life his own way. He was generous and friendly. He loved being outside cutting wood and puttering around the yard. He loved his family, and he loved his Coors Light.
Celebration of John’s life will be held on Friday, Dec 18th, 2020 at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls from 2-8 PM with a limited number of visitors, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Dec 19th, 2020 at 11 AM at St. Kevin’s RC Church, Goulds. Due to current restrictions, Mass will be private by invitation only.
Inurnment to follow at a later date…..to be determined.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to the Cancer Center, or a charity of your choice.
When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a wonderful treasure to always hold in your heart.
