Obituary
With heavy hearts we announce Joan’s passing on Monday, July 13th in the West Coast General Hospital in Port Alberni.
She leaves behind to forever miss her, daughters, Linda Davis, Cathy (Vigar) and Steve Koroll, Barbara (Vigar) Ray, Sherri (Vigar) and Bruce Burrows; son, Troy ( Vigar) Donovan; grandchildren, Tara Koroll, Chad Stevens, Keyla Koroll, Lizzy Davis, Shannon Koroll, Jenny Davis, Chelsea (Donovan) DeVito, and Isabella Davis; great grandchildren, Steven Williamson, Sophie Doleman, Kali Doleman, Oakley Hunter, Tessa Koroll, Danika Koroll, Lakely Gibson; brother, Donald Richens, as well as many extended family members and friends. Joan was predeceased by her parents, Eva and Harry Pistell; brother, Frank Richens; sister in law, Betty Manan; son, Barry Wayne Davis; granddaughter, Karla Touchie; and son, Stefan Chambers.
Joan enjoyed all sorts of crafts and loved baking, and decorating cakes. When not cooking up a storm, she could often be found at the bowling ally. Joan was a cat lover. Her passion in life was her family and friends and she spent many happy hours exploring Vancouver Island, picnicking and camping. She will be missed by all those whose life she touched.
