Obituary of Jim Thomson
Thomson, James “Jim” of Belmont passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, December 27, 2020 in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Patricia(McFarlane) Thomson. Dear father of Carrie Shea(Steve) of Aylmer and Carl Thomson of Belmont. Proud and loving grandfather of Rachel, Ashley, Samantha and Holdyn. Born in South Dorchester Township on August 8, 1944, son of the late Karl and Aleta(Fowler) Thomson(2009). Jim was a dairy and cash crop farmer at Belmont. He was a Chairman of the Board of the Mapleton Church of Christ (Disciples). A private family funeral service will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Saturday January 2, 2021 at 11:00 am and will be available for livestream here. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, friends and family who wish to attend the visitation on Friday, January 1 starting at 11:00 am at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home can call the funeral home at (519 773 8400) to register (masks required). Interment, Mapleton Necropolis Cemetery.
