Obituary of Jean Hussey
Hussey Jean (nee McMillan) peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre on Monday, November 16, 2020 in her 95th. yr. with her family by her side. Jean was born in Paisley Scotland and came to Canada as a war bride in 1946. She was the loving wife of the late George Hussey (1998) for 52 years. Cherished mother of Ken (Marilyn) and Wray (Luanne). Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Drew (Sarah), Nicole, Wray (Lauren), Matt and by great-grandchildren Lilah, Fletcher and Stella. Survived by sister Mamie Goodwin of England, and brother Bill McMillan (Rosemary) of Brantford. Predeceased by brothers Jim McMillan and Crawford McMillan (Bunty) and by sister Eleanor McLaughlin. Visitation will be held at the McCleister Funeral Home on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Service will follow in the chapel on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mt. Hope cemetery. Following COVID 19 Protocol it is mandatory for facial masks to be worn. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to Champ (The War Amps) or to St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre. Online condolences may be made at mccleisterfuneralhome.ca The Hussey family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff at St. Joseph’s Lifecare Centre with whom she had a unique relationship, and for the care and compassion given to our Mother.
