DESFORGES, Jean-Claude “John” – Peacefully at the Madawaska Valley Hospice on Friday, April 24th, 2020 in his 77th year. Jean-Claude “John” Desforges of Barry’s Bay born in Fournier, Ontario on May 7th, 1942 is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Janette Desforges (nee Lee). Loving father of Paul Desforges (Roberta Sinclair) and Marc (Kristina) Desforges. Caring grandfather of Christian (Cailey), Michael and Brianna. Dear brother of Yolande (Pierre) Laframboise, Gaetanne (late Keith) Hobson and Denis (Lin) Desforges. Jean-Claude served with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police up until his retirement in 2002 where he found great joy in fishing on the beautiful waters of Lake Huron, culinary art and a good glass of wine. He was a man of strength and accomplished many projects in his lifetime with certitude and attention to detail. Your work is done. May you rest in peace. Respecting Jean-Claude’s wishes and his love of nature, flowers will be accepted at the funeral home. Due to constraints of the pandemic, please understand that the service will be private. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Madawaska Valley Hospice would be appreciated. Arrangements by the
