Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle on Sunday, February 16, 2020. Adored son of Shirley Chait and the late Morton Gaventa; son-in-law of Shirley and the late Saul Katz. Beloved husband of Robin Katz for twenty-two years. Devoted father of Samantha and Max. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Mia and Warren Saks, and brother-in-law of Blair and Rhonda Katz, Richard and Dale Katz, Stewart and Liz Pearl Katz. Jason will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, close friends and colleagues. Special thanks to the wonderful team of doctors and nurses of the MSICU at the Jewish General Hospital. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Tuesday, February 18 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Haboneh Hahofshi Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva at his home, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. daily through Friday afternoon.
