J. Conrad Linloff
1963-2020
LINLOFF, J. Conrad, Port
Hawkesbury – age 56, formerly of Lower L’Ardoise passed away
on Sunday, January 12, 2020, at home after a yearlong battle with
cancer.
Born in Arichat he was the son of Edward Linloff and the Late
Cecilia (Masters) Linloff. While living in
L’Ardoise he worked at St. Richmond Hospital and was an
active member of the L’Ardoise Fire Department, which played
an active role in his career at Nustar Energy which spanned 25
years.
In his spare time he enjoyed barbecuing, the Blue Jays and a
very cold beer, not necessarily in that order. He loved his
motorcycle and sitting by a campfire. He especially loved
his daughters and his Shih-Tzu Bailey. A favourite memory
for him was watching Oak Island with his family and taking the
tour.
Left to mourn is his loving wife, Adele (Fox), daughters,
Taylor and Madison, both at home; brothers, Kevin (Sherry), NF; Jason,
Dartmouth; and sister; Charmaine (Michael), L’Ardoise;
nieces, Jenna and Harper and nephews, Jordan and
Reagan.
He was predeceased by his mother, Cecilia, both sets of
maternal and paternal grandparents, and sister, Mary Colleen
Linloff.
Thank You to his cancer care team, Dr. Pluta, Dr. Saliba and
Dr. Beechem. To all the nurses in Oncology and emergency at
St. Martha’s thank you for your care and kindness especially
Pam who always made him smile. To his Palliative care team,
Dr. Allan and his coffee buddy nurse Kyla and the members of the VON
team thank you for helping allow Conrad to die at home as per his
wishes.
The biggest thank you extends to George Wright and his fellow
co-workers at Nustar Energy. « The best place in the
world to work and the best people to work with. They truly
are family. »
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
Cathy’s Place, the cancer resource room at St.
Martha’s for the purchase of gas cards for cancer patients
and their families or a charity of ones choice.
Visitation will be in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port
Hawkesbury, from 2pm to 8 pm on Wednesday January 15, 2020.
Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 9am from
