Isabel Rose
Isabel Rose, 86, of The Briarlea
on Ryan, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, August 21,
2020.
Born in Moncton, she was the
daughter of the late Morris and Elizabeth (Coleman)
Gorber.
Isabel grew up in Moncton, NB
and married her sweetheart, Ezra, right after high school. They
resided in Woodstock, NB for more than 20 years and together ran
Roses’ Department Store, Zac’s The Man Shop, and SanBel Enterprises
before moving to Fredericton in the mid 70’s. She was an active
volunteer for the Canadian Diabetes Association and the Heart
& Stroke foundation as well as a Lifetime Member of
Haddash.
Isabel loved to sing, cook, and
attending family gatherings brought her great joy. She was a devoted
wife and mother and will be deeply missed by her
family.
Isabel will be sadly missed by
her daughter, Sandra Rose of Fredericton; brothers, Harry
« Tut » Gorber and Herby Gorber; as well as several nieces,
nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she
was predeceased by her husband, Ezra Rose (1997); sister, Helen
Jochelman and brothers, Charlie, William and Sam
Gorber.
A Service to celebrate and
honour Isabel’s life will be held from Tiferes Israel
Synagogue on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in
Tiferes Israel Cemetery, Dieppe.
