Telesino Benevento, Italy to Hamilton, ON, Canada
It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, nonna and bisnonna Iolanda Zoccolillo on May 2nd in her 91st year at Regina Gardens Long Term Care Residence. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Leopoldo (1978). Cherished mother to Maria (late Angelo), loving nonna to Bernie, Leo (Monique) and Michael (Antonella), and adoring bisnonna to Mila, Annabelle and Maya. She is also remembered by many family and friends found throughout Canada, the U.S. and Italy.
Iolanda lived a beautiful life but battled with Parkinson’s disease and other ailments during her final life chapter. For almost twelve years the caring and attentive staff of Regina Gardens ensured she lived with dignity and enjoyed her years to the fullest. Words simply aren’t enough to thank all the caretakers, nurses and doctors for the love and respect they offered her.
In light of the current environment, a private ceremony for immediate family will be held and flowers will not be accepted. In lieu we ask that you merely do something kind for someone else, much like Iolanda would’ve done for those she cared about. Notes of condolences can be sent to Friscolanti Funeral Chapel, and a celebration of Iolanda’s life will be planned for a future date.
