Ian Dryden
The death of Ian Dryden
occurred suddenly from heart failure on May 9, 2020, at The Moncton
Hospital. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Winston and
Phyllis (Maddison) Dryden.
Ian attended the University of
New Brunswick and later the New Brunswick Institute of Technology (now
NBCC). He worked for many years for Decision Data and after retirement
became self-employed as the owner of Don’s H.O. model
railroad shop.
His hobbies were gardening,
model railroads, doing repairs at the cottage at Cap Brule. His
passion was reading, and he loved all
cats.
He is survived by his sister,
Marcy Dryden-West, three nephews Geoffrey (Rachel) of Washington DC,
Michael (Erin) of Halifax NS, and Colin of Moncton, and his
brothers-in-law Don West and David Tuck, as well as many beloved
cousins. He will also be greatly missed by the model railroad
community. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister,
Catherine Tuck.
There will be no funeral
service. Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton
(858-1995) is in care of arrangements.
In memory of Ian, donations to
the Greater Moncton SPCA (www.monctonspca.ca/en) or
