Harpell, Karen Heather
Karen Harpell passed away with her daughter and grandson by her side at Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound on Wednesday, September 16th, 2020 at the age of 66.
Born on March 21, 1954 in Burk’s Falls, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Evelyn (nee Frederick) Jarick.
Karen loved Rock n’ Roll and it could never be turned up loud enough. She loved to dance and truly enjoyed life. She could talk forever about anything and everything. Her infectious smile and laugh will be remembered forever by all of those who knew and loved her. She is now at peace.
Karen will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter and best friend Sarah Harpell and son-in-law Steve McGowan. She was the proud ‘Granny’ of Ryan Capeluck.
Karen was the dear sister of Lynda Hepinstall and her husband Glen, and aunt of Tara Hepinstall (Neil), Ted Hepinstall and great aunt of Jaya, Monique, and Ali. She cherished the time she spent with her many aunts, cousins and extended family and friends. She will be missed terribly by ‘Sweet Lola’, her poodle who was also a caregiver and nurse when she needed it most. Karen was predeceased by her brother John Jarick and her husband William Twitchin.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of Karen’s life in the near future when family and friends can safely gather to celebrate her life the way she would want it to be celebrated.
As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Chapman House Hospice or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be made through the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E, Meaford, ON N4L 1B9 to whom arrangements have been entrusted. www.fergusonfuneralhomes.ca
