H. Alleyne LeBlanc
1940-2020
REXTON, NB – Alleyne LeBlanc 80, of Rexton passed
away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital in Ste-Anne-de-Kent on
Monday, September 28, 2020 after a lengthy battle with
cancer. Born in Lindsay, ON she was the daughter of the late
Ernest Warden and late Mabel (Rummerfield)
Warden.
Mom and dad ran a successful business (Riverside Shell) for
many years. She enjoyed this greatly and has fond memories
(and many laughs) with « the boys » that would hang around in
the evenings. You know who you are and thank you for the
laughs.
Mom could always be counted on to bake pecan pies for the
church suppers. She was certainly a fantastic cook and, no
gathering would be complete without her potato salad. She
took great pride in working at Bonar Law as a teachers’
assistant. She bragged about her students constantly, and
with great pride.
Alleyne will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 59
years, Charles « Chuck » LeBlanc of Rexton; one daughter,
Sharon McPhie (Scott) of Qu’Appelle, SK and one son, Dennis
LeBlanc (Erlinda) of Keswick, ON.
She is also survived by one sister, Margaret Brown (Don) of
Kelowna, BC; one brother, Jim Warden (Bernice) of Martinsville, SK;
sister-in-law, Bea Warden of Newcastle, ON and many, many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters,
Lois, Jean, Barbara and one brother, Hugh.
The family would certainly like to thank Anne LeBlanc,
mom’s caregiver, for going above and beyond in taking care
of mom. You’re like a sister to her and she
greatly appreciated your friendship and dedication. Special
thanks to Linda Teakles, who was always in the right place at the
right time to help us all out. To Joan LeBlanc, your special
friendship is indescribable. She cherished you all and we
thank you.
To Dr. Pierre LeBlanc and Dr. John McCleave and the many many
nurses and staff at St. Anne’s Hospital who looked after
her, we thank you.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto on Saturday beginning at 9:00 am until departure for the
funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 3,
2020 at 11:00 am at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in
Rexton.
Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto (523-4252).
