Obituary of Gus Porter
“Gus”, Harold Charles Porter of Aylmer passed away peacefully at his residence with family by his side on Saturday, May 30, 2020 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of “Joan” Viola (Stanton) Porter. Dear father of Bonnie McPhee of Aylmer and Sue Bergen (Pete) of Aylmer. Loving grandfather of Karen Pratt (Joe), Michael McPhee (Kelly Jansen) and TJ McPhee and great-grandfather/Super Papa of Rylee, Sienna, Myles, Olivia, Evelyn, and Leo. Born in St. Thomas, Ontario on July 17, 1931, son of the late John and Alberta(LaForge) Porter. Gus loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. Family, friends and faith were valued by him, and he will be missed by many. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
