Gus LaMantia died peacefully on February 20, 2020 with his family at his side. Gus was the beloved husband of Ruth McGuire for 62 years and father of Laura (Clemens) van Zeyl of Oakville, Anne (John) Johnston of Brockville, Jane (Adam) de Pencier of Toronto, Peter (Tessa Griffin) of Toronto and Susan (Geoffrey) Grier of Lindsay.
He was born on March 1, 1935 to Joseph LaMantia and Antonina LaRocca. Gus is predeceased by brothers: Joseph, James, Anthony, and sister, Jean Quattrocchi. Adored Poppa of Marie, Augustine, Eve, Kara, Fin, Hannibal, Antonia, Angus, Oliver, Gus and Ava. He will forever be in our hearts.
Family and friends will gather at Mackey Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North in the town of Lindsay, on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 2:00 pm with words of remembrances at 3:00 pm. All are welcome.
