It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of Gregory Daniel Joseph Pitre at the age of 71, on Sunday, December 13th, 2020 at The Moncton Hospital.
Greg was born in Bathurst, NB. He was the son of Pearl T (Lapointe) and Alexander E Pitre of Bathurst.
He will be dearly missed by his children; Shannon (Teresa), Alex (Ashley), Sandra (Dave), Michael and their mother Donna, and by his step-children; Krystyna (Jeff) and Kara and their mother Robyn, and by his grandchildren; Chris, Megan, Victoria, Gregory, Ryan, Brooke, Alyssa and Katie whom he loved, cherished, and admired. His sister, Donna (Peter), his brothers; Gary (Doreen) and Darryl (Paula) and his many nieces and nephews
He is predeceased by his parents and his brother Gordon “Gordie” (Jeannine).
Greg was a very proud father and grandfather with a kind and giving heart. He spent as much time as he could enjoying the outdoors at family camps. He was a talented musician with a beautiful voice that entertained many. He shared his time and love of life through his involvement with the Bathurst Minor Hockey Association, Scouts Canada, The Knights of Columbus, St John Ambulance and Holy Family Choir. He will be fondly remembered and missed by many!
Greg was a retired Manager and Automation Technologist in Bathurst with Eddy Group Ltd for most of his working years.
Funeral arrangements are being planned for early 2021 and a celebration of Greg’s life will take place in the future when Covid-19 constraints are no longer in effect. Donations in memory of Gregory may be made to any Mental Health Charity or to any local charity of your choice.
