Gordon was born in Summerside. He graduated from Three Oaks
High School and began his career in the music promotion industry in
the 1970’s. From 1983-1994 he created and ran with his partner Emery
Perry The Regent restaurant and nightclub which became a destination
venue for rock bands from across the country. In the late
1990’s Gordon worked on the Emily of New Moon tv series for four
seasons. Subsequently, the family moved to Halifax where
Gordon managed an entertainment enterprise that included the Shoe
Shop, Seahorse, the Press Gang, and the Marquee. He went on to become
Executive Director of Music Nova Scotia and was active in the Juno’s
and the East Coast Music Awards. In 2010 he became the manager of the
rock band, Gloryhound and eventually moved back to PEI, settled in
Stanley Bridge, and took on the role of general manager of the Silver
Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside. He oversaw the expansion of
the Silver Fox into The Silver Fox Entertainment Complex as a venue
for live music and a restaurant. Gord’s knowledge of the entertainment
industry and his organizational leadership made him a welcome asset to
any venture. His warm, generous personality made him life-long friends
wherever he went. Resting at Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where a
private family visitation and funeral service will be held.
