Gordon’s Obituary
STEPHENS – Gordon Leslie, 77 – Shelburne, formerly of Canada Hill passed away peacefully on Sunday April 26, 2020 at Roseway Hospital, Sandy Point. He was a son of the late Emmett Foster and Edith May (Allen) Stephens. Gordon was a fisherman during his working years. In his retirement he enjoyed sport fishing, cranberry picking, and working around his woodpile splitting wood and kindling.
He is survived by daughters; Corina (Vancouver, B.C.), Stephanie (Dartmouth, N.S.), son; Jeffrey Stephens (Canning, N.S.), brother; Robert Leland (Marion), sisters; Lottie Faye, Marilyn Belong (Charlie). Special mention t Shelly Wells, who has been Gordon’s caretaker and a special friend to him.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers; Norman, Raymond and Kenneth.
Cremation has taken place under the care of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home Shelburne. There will be a private burial in Lockeport cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to a Charity of Choice.
