Gordon will be lovingly remembered by his children Lorna, Carol (Brad), Yvette (D’Arcy), Terence (Diane)
and Jason (Rondah).
His legacy will live on through his 14 grandchildren,
his 7 great grandchildren
and his two great great grandchildren.
He has left us to be reunited with
the love of his life Ursula.
He is predeceased by his parents Louis & Pauline,
sisters Blanche, Lottie, Jesse,
his brothers Andrew and Rowland
and his son-in-law Dave.
Uncle G will be sadly missed by numerous
nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews
who held a special place in his heart
each in a unique way.
Everybody knows he had a one-of-a-kind joking personality and knows a Gord story. He was known by his many nick names: Shumway, Chief, Flash, Old Man,
The Contender, he was a Long-Rider
and he was everyone’s Papa.
Lordy-Lordy Gordy way over Forty.
He was a proud member of the Lions Club of Valley East and greatly enjoyed the time spent at his Alzheimer’s Day program aka Men’s Club.
Fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Mel Thorne.
