Chute, Gloria Ruth
Passed away peacefully, at her home in Ottawa on May 12th, 2020, at the age of 90 years. Gloria was born in Hamilton, Ontario and is predeceased by her husband John Chute and her partner of many years Jim Blair. Gloria is survived, loved and remembered by her children, Vickie Green, Fraser Chute (Cecile), Marilyn Maynard (Bill), grandchildren Jennifer Green, Kevin Green, Erin Maynard, Brett Maynard and Jim’s daughter Janet Blair, son Doug Blair (Kim), granddaughter Lauren Wasyluk (Mike), grandson Michael Blair, great granddaughter Waverley Wasyluk, and many friends in London and at the Big Rideau Lake. Predeceased by her son-law the late Scott Green. Gloria spent her winters in London where she was active with her bridge club, Metropolitan United Church and her many friends in the neighbourhood. Once spring arrived Gloria could be found at her cottage on the Big Rideau Lake where she spent her days gardening, sitting on her deck reading, swimming, and walking her dog. Gloria’s love of animals was well known, and she enjoyed many furry companions over her lifetime. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a Celebration of Gloria’s life will follow when restrictions are lifted. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to OVC Pet Trust at the University of Guelph or The Ottawa Hospital Foundation (Blood Diseases) would be greatly appreciated. Forever in our hearts we will miss you Gloria.
