Glendine Faye Webster, R.N.
It is with great sadness that we
announce the passing of Glendine Faye (nee Kelly) Webster on Monday,
August 10, 2020 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital
Centre. She was the daughter of the late Byron and Hilda (Horsman)
Kelly. She is survived by her husband Cyril, three children, Catherine
(late Pierre) Drapeau, Kevin (Sherry) Webster, and Connie (Mike)
Graham. She leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brothers Myron (late Margaret) Kelly,
Walter (Freda) Kelly, and sisters Marjorie Kelly and Sheila Kelly. She
was predeceased by two brothers Burton and Charles, and one sister
Mabel.
Glennie, as she was
known by her friends, trained as a nurse, but spent most of her life
raising her 3 children. She also worked for a period of time at the
United Church Bookroom. Glennie and Cyril loved to dance and were
members of the Charlie’s Angels Round Dance Club as well as
two other square dance clubs in Moncton. They even travelled all the
way to Vancouver with their trailer, dancing in every province along
the way. Along with this pastime she was an active member of Humphrey
Memorial United Church where she sang in the choir, coordinated turkey
suppers, and was a big part of many other church functions. She also
loved oil painting, gardening and sewing. She will be greatly missed
by her family and friends.
A short outdoor
service will be held at the Stilesville United Church Cemetery on the
Gorge Road Friday, August 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Social distancing
guidelines must be followed for those
attending.
