It is with sadness that the family of Gertrude Isobel Byatt announces her passing on Saturday, September 5, 2020. Gertrude was in her ninety-first year and died quietly at Stratford General Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her children Jamie (Jim), Vicki (Don) and Rob. Gertrude was predeceased by her loving husband Lloyd (Floyd) in 1993. The youngest child of Frank and Augusta Harloff, she was also predeceased by her siblings Clarence, Walter, Priscilla (Tuckwood) and Georgina (McNaughton). She is survived by eight grandchildren: Catherine Gallipeau (Ron), Scott Finan (Nicole), Hayley Zimak (Ben), Brady Zimak (Erin), Karley Cronin (Deklan), Erin Steele, Megan Byatt, Jeff Byatt as well as great-granddaughters Hazel, Anna, Ella, Emersyn. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Doctors and nurses of the Surgical Unit at SGH who gave our mother such compassionate care. A private gravesite service with immediate family only will take place on Tuesday September 8, 2020 at Avondale Cemetery.
