Obituary of Germaine Marie Eva Larmond
LARMOND, Germaine Marie Eva (nee Brazeau) April 10, 1924 – December 26, 2020
Germaine Larmond, 96, of Manitouwadge, Ontario, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 26, 2020.
Germaine was born to the late Edouard and Edna Brazeau, April 10, 1924 in Ottawa, Ontario. She grew up in Ottawa with her five siblings, Constance, Gabrielle, Roger, Lucille, and Denise. Now reunited with her beloved late husband John Gregory Larmond, her son and daughter, Donald and Linda Larmond, and her grandson Ian Larmond.
Germaine is survived by her son Rick of Sault Saint Marie, his wife Rose and their children Malcom and Jean Paul; her daughter Debbie of Fort McMurray, Alberta and her children Shannon (Roberty) and Ryan (Crystal); and her son John of Stoney Creek, Ontario, his wife Jodie and their children Nicholas, Cynthia, and Chantal. Cherished grandmother of Scott (Melissa) and Brandy (Gord) and great grandmother of Sammie and Cassie (Scott), James and Marissa (Brandy) and Avery and Owen (Shannon). Her family brought her much pride and joy.
Germaine was an accomplished craftsperson and would spend hours making quilts, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and many other kinds of crafts. She loved to share her passion for crafting with her grandchildren. Germaine loved to spend the summer with her family outdoors camping, fishing, and hunting. She never passed up a game of cards especially euchre, crib, and solitaire. Germaine will be remembered as a caring person who touched many people through her passion to share her crafting. She had a strong Catholic faith and a simple love of life.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions a Celebration of Life will take place in Manitouwadge, Ontario in the summer of 2021 where Germaine will be laid to rest with her husband John and her daughter Linda.
