Obituary
Gerard Donald Boileau age 63, died peacefully in the arms of his loving wife on April 27, 2020 after a long and courageous battle of Kidney and Heart complications.
He was born to Maurice and Sylvia Boileau of Coquitlam ( Maillardville ) BC on July 9, 1956. Family and Friends recognize him best as “G”. He lived 1000 years in the 63 calendar years we all had with him.
He is pre-deceased by his parents, Maurice and Sylvia Boileau, his special brother Wayne. He leaves behind his loving wife; Patricia and side companion; Ruby Tuesday. Siblings; Ron and Shirley Smith and Gary Boileau.
His extended family of brothers; John Black, Brent Hennings, Chris Noel, Glenn Dodich, Phil Prinn and Dan Dodich. Sister in laws; Shirley Smith, Bernadine Walmsley and Calay Lacey. Stepchildren; Amanda, Angela and Tabb. Son in law; Dayten and wife Kristie Likness. Grandchildren; Chloe, Isa, Olivia, Hailey, McKayla, Natalya, Brennon, Elianna. “Special Son” and Nephew”; Ron and wife Wendy Smith. Nephews and nieces: Randy and Craig Smith, James and wife Sara Boileau, Sherry and husband Luke and niece Sarah Boileau. Adopted son’s, Dana Omar and Robert Gillespie. Special cousin; Janice and husband Wayne Smith. Special Gals in his life: Cindy, Ruth, Peggy and little Darlene. Dear special friend and neighbor: Todd. In addition, he leaves behind several cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces, great nephews. His dear close-knit family of brothers and sisters he rode with throughout his lifetime. The childhood friends with whom he stayed in touch with, the circle of friends by the 1000’s from all over the Country, and finally his Teamsters Brothers and Sisters.
G was a loving husband, partner and best friend. He lived his life to the fullest; there is nothing this man would not do for his family and friends. His passions in life were endless. His most proud achievement in life was marrying his wife Patricia Boileau who supported him in all his glory during his hay-days and lovingly supported him physically during their last days together. His priorities in life; his wife, beloved sidekick; Ruby Tuesday, family, friends, his motorcycle, lake front property, old car and his cell phone. This is a man who loved to travel, push the limits, partied hard, rode motorcycles and lived life to the fullest. He did what he wanted to do, when he wanted to and refused to follow Society’s Rules. He was a rare combination of some-one who had a “Love of Life” and a firm understanding of what was truly important – the simplicity of living a life with those he loved.
Although the last three years were very difficult for him with multiple medical issues and living in and out of the Hospitals, his will to live throughout the entire time was stronger than anything else in this world. In the end, he was still in charge, called the shots and took the time to call as many friends and family to say,“I love you” and “goodbye”. He laughed, he smiled, he joked around, he was “G” the person we all know and loved.
Gerard will be fondly remembered by family and friends as “G”, larger than life, a talker, a doer, an everything! He rode away to the heavens above, forever in our hearts, in our thoughts and prayers. To all our loving memories of a man who was larger than life itself…
A celebration of Life will be announced at a letter date.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make a donation to the Kidney Foundation and or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
