Geraldine’s Obituary
HALL, Geraldine Maxine ~ age 86 of Tremont, NS passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020 in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born August 16, 1933 in Tremont, NS she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Louise (Parks) Ward. She was predeceased by her parents, baby sister Luella in April 1947. Also, predeceased by her husband Gordon Hall on Nov. 5, 2001 who was from Sault Ste Marie, ON and brother Loring Ward and sister-in-law Velma Ward. Surviving are her sisters, Doris MacIntyre, Trenton, ON; Janet (Jim) Martin, South Tremont; brothers, Robert (Jean) Ward, Brockville, ON; Fred Ward, Souris, PEI; sister-in-law, Helen Ward, Kentville and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Geraldine was a 15 year foster parent; she was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and member of Royal Canadian Legion, Kingston Branch No. 98. She had 22 years’ experience in hotel and dining room and she enjoyed watching hockey games very much and went to several games to watch her brothers’ grandsons play and Sidney Crosby was a favourite player of hers. She cared about her family very much. Geraldine organized two Ward family reunions and also enjoyed playing darts and bingo. In keeping with Geraldine’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place summer of 2020. Donations in memory may be made to the Tremont Cemetery Society or charity of your choice. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Evergreen Home for Special Care and to Dr. Jim Seaman for all their loving care given to Geraldine.
