Geraldine Marie Ménard
1940-2020
RICHIBUCTO, NB – The family announces with great sorrow her
passing at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Center in
Moncton on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at the age of 79. Born in
Campbellton, NB she was the daughter of the late Percy Walker and late
Laura Isabella (Fitzgerald) Walker and the beloved wife of the late
René Ménard.
Geraldine was an Air Traffic Controller for the Canadian Air
Forces for many years until she left to raise her family.
She loved to travel visiting family all over. Her love for
playing games, crafts, reading, and watching old movies was well known
and always loved a good joke. She was known for winning
chugging competitions in the air force as well as among her family and
friends. Geraldine was a remarkable wife, mother, and
grandmother, who would do anything for anyone, a true heart of
gold.
Geraldine was the loving mother of Jeannine (Gary) Judd,
Denise Ménard, Michel (Silke) Menard and Roxanne (Clayton)
Cail. She was a dear sister of Joan Clayton, Gerald (Audrey) Walker,
Lindsay Walker and Bertram Walker. Cherished grandmother of Jeremy
(Jessica), Jeffrey, Kayla, Angelica (Mathieu), Carissa, Shauna,
Melissa, Andrue, Jesse, Austin and great grandmother of Grace, Oliver
and Lilith. She will be missed by all including many nieces,
nephews as well as friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband,
René and her sisters, Elsie Belliveau and Lois
Rickard.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Geraldine’s memory
may be made to the Dr. Georges-L Dumont Dialysis Clinic in
Moncton.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be no visitation at
the funeral home or funeral service. Arrangements are in
care of Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto
(523-4252).
