Obituary of Geoffrey George Langford
Geoffrey George Langford of Langley, born to Edgar and Joyce Langford in Guelph, Ontario on December 4, 1946, passed away peacefully in New Westminster on January 31, 2020.
Geof is survived by his children, Kyle (Kelli), Tina (Thabang), Cory (Susan) and Mike, grandchildren, Zayne, Zeth, Max, Maggie, Rocco and Ronan, his sisters Virginia, Carolyn and Kathryn (Denton), several nieces and nephews, and mother in law, Yetty Foulds. Geof is lovingly remembered by his dear friend and companion of 14 years, Pam Blackburn and her daughter Lisa, her son Ian (Helen), and grandchildren, Candice, Travis, Kate and Matthew. Geof is predeceased by his beloved wife Linda (nee Foulds), his parents and father in law, Elsley.
Geof’s family was precious to him, he treasured every minute he spent with them. He also enjoyed playing cards, curling, served many organizations and enjoyed spending time with his friends at Spencer Green. He was an active member of St. George’s Anglican Church, Fort Langley, an active member and past master of Joppa Lodge #112, and member of Dogwood Lodge, AF & AM, he served as Associate Bethel Guardian Of Bethel #48, Job’s Daughters, and he continuously supported BC Cancer Foundation, participating in the Walk to End Breast Cancer and as a Cancer Car volunteer driver. He worked as a Budget Officer for the City of New Westminster and actively served CUPE. In his retirement, he worked as a parts driver for Lordco.
A memorial service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, Fort Langley on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Cancer Foundation donate.bccancerfoundation.com/goto/GeofLangford.
