Gary was an employee of Moirs until plant closure. He was a laborer at the shipyard and he worked for GDI until his illness.
Gary enjoyed watching documentaries, listening to his music and sports, especially hockey. He was a big Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He enjoyed big bowls of ice cream lol.
We are all saddened and rejoiced that Gary’s long battle with cancer is over. He fought a good fight, he was a trooper. He will be truly missed by his family, loved ones and all those who knew him.
A special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Dartmouth General, Dickson Centre, the VON, the palliative care organization, the VG palliative care unit on the seventh floor and the EHS. Thanks to Aunt Pearl and Aunt Kay for always keeping contact with Gary and making his day. Gary also requested a special thanks to his brother-in-law Bryan Emerson who went above and beyond making sure he got to all his appointments, waited for him, provided emotional support, and was a very good friend when he needed one. Thank you, Bryan. Due to the Covid 19 situation there will be no service at this time. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
