FREDIN, LYDIA

LYDIA ANNE FREDIN, born April 7, 1973 in Walnut Creek, California, returned home to her Father in Heaven on Sunday, May 17, 2020 after a valiant battle with breast cancer.
Her family and friends know she did not lose the battle, because she never gave up fighting for herself, or her family. Somehow, she moved through her difficult journey with an inspiring combination of grace, gratitude, and a determined sense of humour, and faith. Honouring her strength and faith would have all who knew her resting in the knowledge she is now experiencing joy, without the pains and struggles of this mortal world.
Lydia’s sweet smile, twinkling eyes, humour, and kind heart is missed and thought of often by her husband Matthew, her two boys, Joshua, and Ethan, her parents, Joe and Jerris Spencer, siblings, extended family, and friends. Lydia was a quiet person with a tender, charitable heart, and genuine personality; qualities that gently influenced every person she engaged with.
While she worked many times throughout her life, Lydia found profound joy in being a full-time Mother at home to her boys. She was gifted at providing support and care for her family in both good and trying times. An example of perseverance, patience, and faith, Lydia embodied what it means to show-up in the world as a Daughter of God.
A Graveside Service will be held for Lydia at the Barnwell cemetery on Monday, May 25, 2020 for family members.
