Frances’ Obituary
STODDARD, Frances Mae – 91, of Bay Side Home, Barrington passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 1, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Wellington and Elsie (Bower) Nickerson. Frances did a lot of baby sitting and cleaning for people in her early years. She also helped her husband tend their antique shop. She was a lover of music especially bluegrass. She could hardly wait to go to the local bluegrass concerts. She enjoyed family gatherings especially seeing the little ones. She spent many hours talking to friends and family on the phone. She was a whiz at doing word find puzzle books. She had a great sense of humour and always enjoyed a good joke. She is survived by sons, Herbert (Josephine), Barrington Passage; Henry (Marlene), Clyde River; daughters, Donna (Paul) Locke, Clyde River; Carolyn (Brian) Hines, Clyde River; Christine (Gregory) Goreham, Port Clyde; sisters, Evangeline Swaine, Bay Side Home; Thelma Swaine, Northwest Harbour; Virginia Nickerson, Port Clyde; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert; son, Wayne; brothers, Douglas, Allison, Gordon, Lawrence “Buck”; sisters, Dorothy, Jeanette and Louise. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. No visitation by request. The funeral service will be held Friday, December 4, at 3 p.m. with Pastor Cindy Dunnett officiating. Interment will be at Port Clyde Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Clyde Area Community Centre or a charity of choice. The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers at Bay Side Home for their compassion and care.
