Faye Hudson
1945-2020
RICHIBUCTO, NB – Faye Hudson of Richibucto passed
away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital
Centre in Moncton on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the age of
75. Born in Richibucto, she was the daughter of the late
Leonard Carter and late Helen (LeGoff)
Carter.
Faye started work in 1964 at the Bank of Nova Scotia in
Moncton, where she met Dick, the love of her life. She and
Dick then moved to Richibucto, where she later returned to work at the
Royal
Bank.
Faye was a homebody. She was happiest when her
family was gathered in their home, which was always filled with love,
a delicious meal, and a tasty treat. She loved sharing her
baking with her family, especially her granddaughter,
Tiffany. Faye enjoyed collecting tea cups and saucers,
napkins, crystal, and ceramic houses for their beautiful Christmas
village.
Faye was loving and kind. Her generous spirit was
always evident in her love and treatment of animals. She
could often be found looking at the paper for a possible new kitten to
adopt (to add to their current household of two CARMA rescue
cats).
Faye will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 54 years,
Dick Hudson of Richibucto; two sons, Todd Hudson (Mary Lou) of
Miramichi, Trevor Hudson (Michelle) of Oakville, ON, and one
granddaughter, Tiffany. She will also be missed by her fur babies,
Panda and Bear.
She is also survived by one sister, Barbara Dawn Furey (Ed)
of Dartmouth, NS; one brother, Bill Carter (Clarcy) of Edmundston and
many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto (details to follow). A Funeral Mass will be held at the
Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Rexton at a later
date. Donations in Faye’s memory may be made to
the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Kidney Foundation of Canada,
the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery (Rexton) or CARMA Cat
Rescue.
The family would like to thank Dr. John McCleave of Rexton,
the doctors and nurses of 4F at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University
Hospital Centre, the staff at the dialysis unit, occupational
therapist Lynn Nadeau and her team, the Extra-Mural Program, and Dr.
André Poirier at the Moncton
Hospital.
Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home
in Richibucto (523-4252).
