Essar Raskin
December 12, 1935 – December 28, 2020
It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Essar Raskin on Monday, December 28, 2020. Beloved husband of Brigitte (Brie) Heinemann. Dear father and father-in-law of Joel Raskin and Natalie Gasparini, Larry Raskin and Noni Respitz, Randi Raskin and Jonathan Mosel; stepfather of Eric Grenier and Melanie Martel, Karine Grenier and Roberto Sardelli. Proud ‘Pops’ of Maria, Luca, Sabine, Cooper, and Mathieu; Elisabeth and Alessandra. Brother and brother-in-law of Irving and Sandra Raskin, and uncle to Alan Raskin and Debbie Wagman. Essar will be missed by Rena Raskin, his cousins, and friends. Our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at the McGill University Health Centre who provided treatment and care for Essar during the past several months. A private graveside service to take place. Shiva strictly private. Contributions in Essar’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
