Eric Joseph Cormier
Eric J. Cormier, 57, of
Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday,
January 8, 2020.
Born in Moncton, he was the
son of the late Gerard and Evelyn (Allain)
Cormier.
Eric was a former employee of
Sobeys and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. He loved dancing, jiving, playing bingo and spending time with
his family and friends.
Eric will be sadly missed by
his son, William Cormier of Moncton; brothers, Amedee
« Meddie » Cormier (Joan) and Maurice Cormier (Theresa);
sister, Sylvia Cormier; stepsisters, Julia and Diane; former wife and
mother of their son, Jayne Cormier, dear cousin, Pauline Levasseur, as
well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family
members.
In addition to his parents, he
was predeceased by an infant brother, Joseph and brother, Napoleon
« Nap ».
A Service to celebrate and
honour Eric’s life will be held at the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2070 Mountain Road, Moncton, on Saturday,
January 11, 2020 at 11:00 am. Reception following the service.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, in the
spring of 2020.
