Obituary
Elsie Agatha Klingbeil (Wright), nee Bevans, A BEAUTIFUL LADY, has left us to join family and friends in Heaven on December 22, 2020.
August 11, 1937, a bright light emerged from the little oil patch town of Wainwright, Alberta. Elsie Agatha Bevans was the second child of six born to Harvey and Agatha: Marjorie (Russ), Roy (Irene), Dale (Marilyn), Robbie (Marjorie) and Jim (Kathy). Elsie’s Father was one of the first drillers in Alberta. Elsie attended school in Wainwright. The entire family was sports enthusiasts. Elsie and her sister played basketball and baseball and went off to college together. After college in 1957, Elsie married teenage sweetheart Harold Wright. They had two children, Sandi and Mark. They resided in Wainwright and Irma, then moved to Hinton (Harold’s hunting grounds) in the early 70’s. They enjoyed many adventures and played in the great outdoors around Hinton. Many lifetime friendships were made. Elsie has always made the best bread anyone has ever tasted, no one could refuse Elsie’s baking and cooking. For over 20 years Elsie worked at Consumers Welding in Hinton, Alberta. Brian, her boss and friend, said: “Elsie was the best person I ever worked with”. Harold took a fishing trip to Heaven in 1987.
In 1995, Elsie and Albert Klingbeil were married and two families were joyously joined. Sandi, Mark (Colleen), Kelly (CJ), Murray (Andrea), Garry (Jodi) and Melanie (Curtis). She had 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Al and Elsie enjoyed camping, quadding, sledding, fishing and many other activities with family and friends. In 1997 Al and Elsie started heading down south and enjoyed many winters in Arizona. Many family, friends, acquaintances and strangers had the pleasure of enjoying Elsie’s fantastic food and hospitality (happy hour) over the years. She was immensely loved for her outstanding qualities as a wife, sister, mother, grandmother, friend, acquaintance and many others. She will be dearly missed. Our beautiful light has now been extinguished, but we know that it shines brightly in Heaven, as a beacon, for all of us to find her.
On December 29, 2020, a private viewing will be held from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm at the Grace Lutheran Church, with a private service held at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Elsie’s name may be offered to a charity of one’s choice.
