Elizabeth « Beth » Josephine Potter
Elizabeth « Beth » J.
Potter, 89, of Monarch Hall, Riverview and formerly of Edgett Avenue,
Moncton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, August
19, 2020.
Born in Chatham, she was the
daughter of the late Carman and Ethel (McEwen)
Nevin.
Beth was a former employee of
Parkers Insurance and G. B. Murphy Jewellery Ltd. She was a member of
St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, the Bible Study Group,
Friendly Friend and held various other positions in past years. Beth
was Past Matron of Frank H. Tingley Chapter # 5 O.E.S., Past President
of the Daughters of the Nile Club and member of Nerides Temple # 78,
Saint John.
Beth will be sadly missed by her
daughter, Susan Brannon (Martin) of New Maryland and sons, Nevin Tower
(Linda) of Shediac Cape and Gary Tower (Joan), of Moncton;
grandchildren, Drew, Dustin, Joshua, Christopher, Morgan and Jennifer;
several great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and
extended family members. She was the last surviving member of her
immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she
was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Potter; grandson, Devon;
sisters, Lois and Eva; and brother, Byron
Nevin.
Due to the current COVID-19
restrictions, a private family service will be
held.
Interment will be in
Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
Funeral arrangements entrusted
to Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton
(858-1995).
