At Fiddick’s Nursing Home, Petrolia on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, Edward Otto Molzan passed away peacefully with family at his side in his 83rd year. Loving father of Randy (Mary-Lyn) of Alvinston and Diane (Martin) Laux of Ajax. Dear grandfather of Jordan (Julie), Hannah, Connor, Olivia, Jack and Kate. Survived by his sisters Eleanor Wilkinson and Adeline Brown and his sister-in-law Eugenie Molzan. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Ronald and Adele Molzan, his brother Robert Molzan, his sister and brother-in law Edna and Ed Baker, and his brothers-in law Gerald Wilkinson and Eldon Brown. Ed was a proud farmer. He was a Charter Member of the Alvinston District Optimist Club. He was involved in many organizations over the years: Ontario Soybean Growers, Lambton County Corn and Wheat Boards, United Co-Operatives of Ontario, Ontario Soil and Crop Association, Alvinston Fair Board and Ontario Farmers Union. He served as a councilor for Brooke Township for many years. A private family interment will be held at Alvinston Cemetery. When possible, a gathering will be held to celebrate Ed’s life with family and friends. Memorial donations may be made to Bluewater Health CEEH site.
