Obituary of Douglas Blackman
Douglas Waldon Blackman, at home, on Friday, May 15th, 2020 of Owen Sound, at the age of 88 years. Dearly loved husband of Joan Eloise Blackman (nee Cruickshank) for 62 years. Loving father of John (Kristy Pickett Blackman) of Waverly Heights, Sharon Blackman of Owen Sound and Barbara Harron (Rich Gawel) of Wiarton. Cherished grandfather of Brady, Amanda (Gab), Sarah and Laura (Tyler), and great-grandfather of Mason and Nora. Predeceased by his parents Ronald and Margaret Blackman, his siblings Bert Blackman (Dawn) and Evelyn Hunter (Gordon).
A private family graveside service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Thursday, May 21, 2020. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to Grey Bruce Hospice or a charity of choice as an expression of sympathy.
