Douglas Ferguson Laing
Douglas Ferguson Laing March 7, 1950 – August 31, 2020
Suddenly, but in the arms and love of his best friend and loving wife Lauree, in the home they shared, where they raised their beautiful family, Douglas « went on ahead ». A brilliant mind, a talented artist, with a decidedly bent sense of humour, he is now resident in his new « studio » painting with colours we cannot imagine. He loved beyond comprehension and had indescribable pride in his children; Sean and Andrea, Avaleah and Todd, Elicia and Pierre, and Kris. His greatest joy was his grandchildren, Brandon, Domenic, Gabrielle, Gage, Katherine, Kingston, Natasha, Taylor and his chief partner in assorted tomfoolery, Xander. Douglas overcame much in his time here and taught us, by example, the importance of persistence, creativity and, above all, forgiveness. Go in peace, but promise to be waiting for me when I arrive. Love Lo.
