Douglas Eldon Scott
1945-2020
Douglas Eldon Scott passed away peacefully with his family
and friends by his side at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital,
Fredericton, NB, on February 1, 2020.
Doug was born in Moncton, NB on December 7, 1945. He was
predeceased by his parents Rosemary (Scott) and Richard Arlen
Thompson, his brother Leonard Thompson and his beloved fur baby,
Allie.
Doug will be forever loved and missed by his wife of 41
years, Karen Elizabeth (Balser) Scott; 4 brothers Roy (Kat), Robert
(Marilyn), Kevin (Janet), and Andy (Alana); sister Cindy; 2 special
sisters-in-law Colleen Publicover and Theresa Thompson; 4 sons Arlen
(Patsy), Wayne (Heather), Jonathan (Charlene) and Shamos; 5
granddaughters Emiley, Kayla, Jasmine, Ashley and Kaitlyn; special
great granddaughter Taylynn; grandson Griffin; chosen grandsons Aaron,
Tiernan, Simmeon and Lex, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and
friends.
Doug was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan and had a love of
fishing.
Honouring Doug’s wishes, there will be no
visitation or funeral service at this time. A graveside ceremony will
be held in the spring at the Rockland Cemetery in McAdam, NB. For
those who wish, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian
Cancer Society or Lakeland Industries in McAdam.
