Obituary
Douglas Alexander Wardle passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 29, 2020 at the age of 58. His lengthy battle with cancer was bravely fought with courage and strength.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 29 years, Sheila, and his daughters Lindsay and Allison of whom he was extremely proud.
Doug will also be forever remembered by his siblings Susan, Aileen, Nancy, David and their families.
Doug was born on September 19, 1961 in Penticton, B.C. He grew up in Summerland, B.C. and worked at the Summerland Research Station for 32 years. After marrying Sheila in 1990, Peachland, B.C. became their home where they raised their family.
He was a kind and thoughtful man who only saw the best in people. He will always be remembered for his humour and patience.
Doug enjoyed the simple things in life like a good book, working in the garden and giving big hugs. He will be greatly missed and will always be in the hearts of his family and friends.
It was his wish to have a simple passing and therefore no service will be organized.
As a tribute to Doug, donations can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.
